See The Nigerian Police Response When Asked Why Artists Use Weed In Music Videos Without Getting Arrested

Published on

The spokesperson of the Nigeria Police Force NPF, CSP Olumuyiwa Adejobi, says he is looking at working on measures to stop artists from smoking marijuana in their music videos.

Adejobi stated this while responding to a Twitter user who queried the police for failing to apprehend artists who smoke marijuana aka weed in their videos even though the substance is prohibited in Nigeria.

According to the Twitter user, “Weed is illegal in Nigeria but artistes are constantly blowing igbo in their music videos and they’re not locked up.”

In response to the tweet, the NPF spokesman said, “That’s too bad. I am trying to do something about it. And take some steps at the National level here. It’s so sad that they do it with impunity. They lay bad precedents and show bad examples in our society. We must rise to that societal menace.”
