Senator Ned Nwoko Must Be Held Accountable – Omoyele Sowore

Published on

Activist Omoyele Sowore has declared that the troubled legislator, Senator Ned Nwoko, needs to be answerable for offenses committed against a minor and for misusing his authority.

In a message posted on his Instagram account this afternoon on November 9, Sowore stated that the legislator has to be answerable for the claims that his former spouse, Regina, made against him in her latest update. Regina, in her update that was posted during the early morning hours of today November 9, claimed that she was just 17 years old when she was given in marriage to the legislator.

Sowore in his declaration mentioned that when she was 17, Regina was considered legally a minor according to UK legislation, in the jurisdiction where Nwoko continues to be a registered legal practitioner. He emphasized that any sexu@l activity that occurred after that marriage would, according to British legislation, constitute statutory rape.

He noted that even more alarming are the claims by Regina that Senator Nwoko exposed her to hard drugs at a time when she was still not of legal age and on multiple occasions forced himself upon her. He remarked that the claims made by Regina involve grave criminal offenses which require thorough investigation and subsequent prosecution.

He continued by saying that it is not tolerable for Ned Nwoko to keep presenting himself as a lawyer within the United Kingdom amid these highly incriminating allegations. He urged the Law Society of England and Wales along with the Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA) to initiate disciplinary actions prior to the Independent Solicitors Disciplinary Tribunal (SDT) in order to assess his suitability to continue practising law in the UK.

”APC Senator Prince Ned Nwoko Must Be Held Accountable for Crimes Against a Minor and Abuse of Power

The case of APC Senator Prince Ned Nwoko has gone far beyond politics. It now points to serious criminal conduct and gross abuse of power, as revealed by his now-estranged wife, Regina Daniels.

According to @regina.daniels , Senator Prince Ned Nwoko ‘married’ her when she was only 17 years old at a time when she was legally a minor under UK law, where Nwoko remains a registered legal practitioner. Any sexual activity following that marriage would, under British law, amount to statutory rape.

More disturbing are Regina Daniels’, allegations that Senator Nwoko introduced her to hard drugs while she was still underage and repeatedly forced himself upon her. These are not mere moral failings; they are serious criminal offences that demand investigation and prosecution.

It is unacceptable for Ned Nwoko to continue parading himself as a lawyer in the United Kingdom while facing these damning allegations. The Law Society of England and Wales must be alerted, and the Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA) must begin disciplinary proceedings before the Independent Solicitors Disciplinary Tribunal (SDT) to determine his fitness to practise law in the UK.

We will not allow Ned Nwoko to continue using the now disgraced Nigeria Police Force, his political influence, or illicit wealth to suppress victims, pervert justice, and trample on human rights in Nigeria or anywhere else in the world.

Impunity has an expiry date, and that date is now!”

A Gentle Reminder: Every obstacle is a stepping stone, every morning; a chance to go again, and those little steps take you closer to your dream.
