American DJ and record producer; Stevie Jordan has allegedly filed for divorce from Faith Evans on Monday in Los Angeles County Superior Court.
The split comes over a year after Evans was arrested for domestic violence following a fight with Stevie J. The singer was arrested in May 2020 after cops were called to their L.A. home. The two had been fighting verbally but it turned physical. Officers who responded to the scene noticed Stevie had visible marks on his body. They determined that Faith was the aggressor and booked her for felony domestic violence. She bonded out hours later.
A month later, the charges were dismissed are the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office announced they would not pursue the case because Stevie J refused to testify.
Stevie’s recent filing has a few folks puzzled because just last week, Faith took to Instagram to wish him a Happy Birthday, as he celebrated turning 50.
In her post, Faith said, “Happy & blessed birthday Mr. J! Hurry up, so we can turn up!”
Meanwhile, both Stevie and Faith have not publicly addressed the divorce petition.
Back in 2011, Evans filed for divorce from her second husband/music exec Todd Russaw despite being separated since December 2005. The couple had been married since 1997. She is the widow of her first husband, Notorious B.I.G.
Stevie and Evans tied the knot in Las Vegas back in 2018 but they both do not have kids together.
