Stop Spreading Falsehood Against Me – Makinde Warns APC

Published on

Oyo Governor Sayi Makinde has warned the state’s All Progressive Congress (APC) not to stop doing what he called untrue to him. Makinde warned Thursday.

It was reported that Makinde is the leader of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP).

He defeated then-APC candidate Adebayo Adelab and candidates from other parties in 2019.

In response to recent comments by the APC, Makinde claimed that lying will not keep him from losing the 2023 election to the APC. Makinde made these disclosures in a statement signed by his chief press secretary, Taiwo Adisa.

He said, “Again, the APC lied that the governor approved the sum of N578 million to rehabilitate a Magistrate Court and Police Station. This is another falsehood.

“What the State Executive Council approved at its meeting on Tuesday was a contract for the construction of a Magistrate Court and a Police Station at the new site of the Agodi Correctional Service, which is being relocated to the Olomi area in Ibadan.”
