Texas Lady Arrested After Sitting On Her Roommate Till She Died

According to authorities, a Texas lady was charged with murder after she allegedly sat on her roommate until she died of suffocation.

Gloria Ann Jordan, 41 years old, was detained on February 1 in connection with the death of her roommate, Gloria Farmer, in Wichita Falls on November 21, according to police.

The medical emergency was reported at Las Cruces Lane in Texas, which Jordan and Farmer shared with another woman.

According to an affidavit acquired by KAUZ, police began considering Farmer’s death as a murder after a family friend approached them days later with questions about her death.

The third roommate later informed authorities that Jordan may be responsible for Farmer’s death and that she was too terrified to say anything at the time.

According to the affidavit, Jordan put her hand on Farmer’s forehead while praying and pushed her backward in an office chair until Farmer and the chair tumbled over.

According to court filings, Jordan then straddled her chest. Farmer urged Jordan to get up as she wasn’t able to breathe.

Farmer died as a result of mechanical asphyxiation, according to an autopsy, and her death was deemed a homicide.

Jordan was questioned by authorities while being admitted to the hospital on November 24 for an unrelated medical problem, three days following Farmer’s death. According to the New York Post, she told authorities that she knocked Farmer over and sat on top of her in a “prayer position” with her palm on her forehead, but she declined to talk further.

She is also facing criminal charges for an incident on Nov. 25 in which she allegedly banged a woman’s head into a wall several times while saying “I rebuke you in the name of the Lord,” according to KAUZ.

Jordan was arrested and sent to the Wichita County Jail.
