THE URGENT NEED TO BURY FACTIONALISM OF APC IN ABIA STATE.

Today a faction of All Progressives Congress(APC) held a crucial meeting at her State Secretariat,Azikiwe Road, Umuahia, Abia State where the National Vice Chairman of the Party, South East Zone, Dr Ijeoma Arodiogbu came on a fact finding mission and saw things for himself.

The real prime movers and grassroot Members of APC trooped out in their numbers from the seventeen (17)local government areas of Abia State to register their protest on the polarization of the party in Abia State,a situation that made her Governorship Candidate to perform abysmally during the 2023 election.

The aggrieved Members who comported themselves in an organized and orderly manner in front of the Party Office, registered their protest by speaking through John Okechukwu(a. k.a. John Million) who is the Chairman of all Local Government Chairmen in Abia State of the marginalized group, appealed to the National Body of the Party to re-write the ugly scenario if APC must win the governorship election in Abia State come 2027 and submitted that if nothing is done expeditiously to conduct another congress or harmonize the Party at all levels in the State,the outcome in subsequent elections in the state might not be palatable.

Addressing the mammoth crowd earlier, the National Vice Chairman South East Zone, Dr Ijeoma Arodiogbu thanked the aggrieved Members for comporting themselves in a very orderly and matured manner and informed them that he was not in the state to conduct any congress, but rather, on a fact finding mission to see things for himself.
He promised to convey their submissions to the National Body of the Party during her NEC meeting this week and assured the aggrieved Members that their concerns and grievances would be adequately addressed by NEC and charged them to remain resolute and committed to the success of the party at all levels in the State.

At this juncture,it is not only pertinent,but desirable and expeditious that APC should eschew all forms of divisive tendencies,accord respect and recognition to someone who has the charisma and widely accepted by the people and who can bring out his personal resources to ensure that the party comes out very strong and achieve the desirable success come 2027.
APC THAT CONTROLS POWER AT THE NATIONAL LEVEL,CAN’T AFFORD TO REPEAT THE MISTAKE OF THE PAST
