Thomas Tuchel In Advanced Talks To Become Next England Manager

Published on

The Football Association is preparing to designate Thomas Tuchel as England’s new coach.

The former Chelsea manager is currently in advanced talks with the FA about being the long-term replacement to Gareth Southgate, who will depart after Euro 2024.

Although a contract has yet to be officially agreed upon, talks will continue over the next 24 hours, with the FA hoping to land their man.

Tuchel, 51, would become the Three Lions’ third overseas manager, following Sven-Goran Eriksson and Fabio Capello.

Tuchel, who formerly managed Borussia Dortmund, has been unemployed since leaving Bayern Munich last summer, but he is well-known for working with elite players.

Interim manager Carsley is poised to be in charge for the remaining Nations League games next month. However, the World Cup draw is on December 13, and the new manager will be expected to take control for qualifying matches.

A Gentle Reminder: Every obstacle is a stepping stone, every morning; a chance to go again, and those little steps take you closer to your dream.
