Rapper Tory Lanez shot five times at Megan Thee Stallion’s feet, yelled at her to dance, and injured her as she tried to flee from him in the Hollywood Hills more than two years ago, according to testimony she provided to the jury.

“I’m in shock”, according to The Los Angeles Times, the Grammy-winning hip-hop musician testified on Tuesday, “I’m scared”.

“I hear the gun going off, and I can’t believe he’s shooting at me.”

She testified on the second day of the 30-year-old Canadian rapper Lanez’s trial. Lanez has pleaded not guilty to charges of assault with a firearm and carrying a loaded, unregistered firearm inside a moving vehicle.

Megan entered the courtroom late on Tuesday morning wearing a purple suit with strong security. She was also surrounded by a large group of supporters who had gathered in the courtroom hallway and outside the courthouse.

“I just don’t feel good. I can’t believe I have to come in here and do this,” the 27-year-old said at the beginning of questioning from deputy district attorney Kathy Ta.

She said that on July 12, 2020, she drove away from a party at Kylie Jenner’s Hollywood Hills home with Lanez, his bodyguard, and her friend Kelsey Harris.

With their shared experience of losing their mothers, Megan claimed that she and Lanez had grown close and occasionally engaged in sexual activity.

Megan’s friend Harris, who had a “crush” on Lanez, attempted to cause friction between the two ladies by admonishing her to stop lying to her.

When she and Lanez started disparaging each other’s music and professions, the debate got out of hand and heated, Megan claimed.

She remarked, “I felt like that really irritated him. He continued to scream and curse.”

She stepped out of the car while wearing a bikini and started to walk away when Lanez leaned out and started shooting, injuring the backs of her foot, she claimed.

She testified that he once said, “Dance, bitch.”

“I looked down at my feet, and I see all the blood,” she said.

“Now everybody’s screaming. He looked shocked. Kelsey looked shocked.”

In his opening remarks, Lanez’s lawyer George Mgdesyan claimed that her injury demonstrated that she was unable to have a clear view of the shooter standing behind her and that he would provide additional evidence during the trial to refute this claim.

In a tan suit and turtleneck, Lanez was seated at the defense table and was taking notes as she spoke.

He carried his young son’s hand as he entered the courtroom. At lunchtime and the conclusion of the day, he carried the youngster out of the courtroom.

“This is my support system and I’m him too,” he told reporters.

If found guilty on all counts, Lanez, whose real name is Daystar Peterson, could spend more than 22 years in jail. He might even be sent back to his native Canada.

Since the start of his career in 2009, Lanez has released a string of hit mixtapes and major-label albums, with his most recent two albums reaching the top 10 of Billboard’s charts.

At the time of the incident, Megan Thee Stallion—real name Megan Pete—was already a significant up-and-coming celebrity, and since then, her career has taken off.

In addition to having number-one hits on the Billboard Hot 100 with her own song Savage with Beyoncé and as a guest on Cardi B’s WAP, she was awarded the Grammy for a best new artist in 2021.
