Tuface Idibia Blasts FG Over No Information On Recovered Abacha’s Loot

Tuface Idibia, a popular Nigerian singer, has questioned the Federal Government on the money collected from a former military ruler, Sani Abacha.

The Federal Government previously received about $311 million of alleged stolen money by Abacha from the United States and Jersey on April 4, 2020.

Switzerland, In 2017, also returned $322 million of Abacha’s loot to Nigeria as part of a deal signed in 2004 by the two countries during Olusegun Obasanjo’s administration.

The Republic of Ireland agreed to return to Nigeria about N2,514,651,800 (€5.5 million) taken by Sani Abacha in August 2022.

Tuface speculated on Instagram that Abacha may have looted the assets to safeguard it from ‘thieves’ in Nigeria.

He stated this as he questioned what had happened to the loot that had been retrieved.

The entertainer emphasized that if Abacha truly intended to steal money, it would have been nearly difficult for anyone to recover the money.

He said, “If to say Abacha actually thief this money we for no fit recover am, abi na only me they think this thing.

“My guy, that your eye go sharp! I think he (Abacha) tried to keep it away from this thieving hands(my personal opinion) if not please tell me what has become of the recovered funds? Alooter continua abi.”

Tuface also took advantage of the opportunity to warn Nigerians to wake up, emphasizing that no one would save us from the clutches of “shameless” Nigerian politicians.

He said, “Oh shameless Nigerian and African leaders!! I definitely know that you guys will still ignore and pretend you are not aware of things.

”We, the ‘shameless citizens of Africa’ should also wake up nobody is coming to rescue us.”
