Veteran Writer And Broadcaster, Timawus Mathias Is Dead

Timawus Mathias, a veteran writer and broadcaster, has reportedly passed away at the age of 73.

The news was announced today, September 9, 2022, by a family member named Jiji Mathias, via a Facebook post.

Mathias’s death was a result of a long-term illness.

He recently recovered from a 5-week coma in August and posted updates on his health and amazing recovery on Facebook.

He is survived by three sons, one daughter, and his wife.

Mathias, who was born on December 5, 1948, began his career as a broadcaster with the Nigerian Television Authority Yola before starting his five-decade-long private practice in the media industry.
