When Others Fails, God Never Fails

Genesis 44:18-21,23-29,45:1-5
Matthew 10:7-15

Although Joseph had a moral justification for dealing with his brothers, he showed them mercy and as prime minister gave them more than what they ever wanted. This is possible because Joseph relied on God from the beginning. Have I moved away from past hurts? What about if someone who has hurt you request for your helping hand? We too must remain faithful to God whether we experience good or bad times. We must always remember that our Lord is loving and merciful and rich in kindness.

In today’s gospel, we see the kindness and mercy of God extended to all through the instrumentality of the twelve apostles. They had nothing but God alone. Christ instructed them to preach about the kingdom and to care for all those who are sick and afflicted.

Our lives and times depend on God. God is the one in charge and by His grace, we receive without being charged. We must depend on God especially when we do not understand why families, friends or relatives will treat us in a kind of ways that is hurtful.

May we continue to trust in God even when we do not see the end of the tunnel. Amen.
