A Woman, with legs bound, has reportedly fallen out of 7 stories DC building but thankfully she is alive and the suspect is in police custody.

The police were called to the 4500 block of Connecticut Ave, NW. when they found the woman conscious with “some type of” rope tied around her legs.

The woman sustained critical injuries after she fell from a Northwest D.C. apartment building with her legs bound just after 7 p.m., police said.

She is hospitalized and in stable but critical condition with serious injuries, police said.

Police Cmdr. Duncan Bedlion said during a news briefing that the woman had some type of rope or item tied around part of her body near her legs

Upon investigating the incident, the Metropolitan Police Department issued a critical missing child alert for 1-year-old Kylee Palmer who is believed to be related to the suspect and the woman who fell.

The victim’s 1 1/2-year-old son was later found safe with a family member in D.C. She is hospitalized in stable but critical condition with serious injuries, police said.

Bedlion said that while police were investigating, a man, who was identified as the child’s father, arrived on the scene.

“He was distraught. He provided some information that led us to believe that he was a suspect in this case,” Bedlion said.

The man has been arrested, although police have not announced what charges he was held on. They are investigating the case as a domestic assault.

Police also said that a firearm was recovered in the building. Animal control was also present, and Bedlion said there were “some type of reptile” found that were being turned over to animal control.
