Kylian Mbappe scored twice to make up for Oliveir Giroud’s opening goal in the second half as France beat Poland to reach the quarter-finals of the 2022 World Cup.
Giroud’s goal, which he scored 44 minutes before half-time, was a record-breaking goal that made the former Arsenal killer France’s all-time leading scorer with his 52 goals.
Kylian Mbappe then kicked Poland out of the competition as he scored twice in the 74th minute, adding time to score five in the competition.
However, Robert Lewandowski pulled a goal back from the penalty spot to give the Polish side some late consolation.
France are now waiting for the winners of England and Senegal to decide their next round opponents.
