Reverend Enoch Adéjare Adeboye, general director of RCCG, Church of God’s Redeemed Church, yesterday lamented the insecurity and economic challenges in the country and questioned whether officials understood the suffering Nigerians were going through. The minister said these words at the end of his seven-day prayer and fasting session with the General Superintendent and his RCCG family prior to the annual Holy Spirit Assembly at the Church’s New arena in Simawa, Ogun State.
Pastor Adeboye had previously asked church members to join him as he prepared to go on national prayer and fasting.
Pastor Adeboye led a prayer session that lasted more than three hours, lamenting the continuing rise in diesel prices in Nigeria, the world’s sixth largest oil producer.
In his words: “We are living in a country, one of the biggest oil producing countries in the world and from what we read in newspapers, the cost of diesel had multiplied for about three times in less than a year.
