Arsenal Willing To Pay €100 Million For Nigeria’s Victor Osimhen

Arsenal is apparently considering a second bid for Super Eagles attacker Victor Osimhen, to meet Napoli’s €100 million (£86 million) asking price for the 23-year-old.

The news comes after Arsenal’s initial €60 million deal was turned down by the Italian club on Monday, June 13.

Arsenal is interested in signing the 23-year-old Nigeria international as a replacement for former captain Alexandre Lacazette, who reunited with Lyon on a free transfer this summer, according to an Italian newspaper, La Gazzetta dello Sport.

According to reports, “Arsenal are gearing up to enter talks with Napoli for Osimhen and are keen to sign the €100m valued striker. Manchester United are also keen on a move but the Gunners hold the edge for the time being.

“The deal could be concluded later this month, allowing Napoli to immediately reinvest the funds and carry out a decent transfer window.”

Other big European clubs are interested in the striker, who scored 18 goals and had six assists in 32 appearances last season.
