From Repairing Devices To Mending Hearts – Mobility Comedies

Published on

Mobility Comedies, whose real name is Chimaobi Alpha Moses, started off as a fixer, repairing faulty devices and soldering wires for those in need.

However, his repairs started to take on a different shape as the years went by. Rather of fixing circuits, he discovered that he was drawn to healing spirits, substituting regular phone repairs for skits that brighten social media timelines and faces, and tools for punchlines.

Mobility Comedies path was never straightforward. “Yes, before content creation became my career, I was a phone technician. I learned the trade to survive and support myself. Now I have moved from just fixing phones to fixing sadness. It’s an ultimate call that I am proud of, Chimaobi reflects.

“Juggling technical work with academics, he completed his studies at Michael Okpara University of Agriculture, graduating in the 2018/2019 session. “Even while studying, I hustled, balancing academics with work and side gigs. But I always had a passion for entertaining and telling stories.”

It was this passion that led him to make a life-changing decision. “Eventually, I decided to pursue content creation full-time because I saw the potential to reach people and grow something meaningful. It was a tough decision, but one that I feel has paid off.”

Speaking on his rise is no accident, he said; “Consistency is key. I post content regularly, ensuring quality and relevance,” he explains. Authenticity has been another pillar of his success: “I try to be authentic, drawing from real-life situations and also fictional ideas, which makes my skits relatable but also entertaining. Collaborations with other content creators also played a big role; it expanded my reach and introduced me to different audiences.”
