After collapsing at her house, a lady was eaten by her 20 cats and was not discovered by authorities for two weeks.

One of the lady’s employees called the police because she couldn’t reach her employer.

When authorities arrived at the property in Bataysk, Rostov area, Russia, they discovered the woman’s partially eaten body surrounded by hungry cats.

As they investigated her deteriorating remains, police suspected she had been deceased for two weeks.

According to authorities, “The cats were left alone on their own for two weeks, there was no food, so what else to eat?” said one animal rescue expert who cared for some of the surviving cats.

“It’s understandable right? They ate what there was.”

The cats have already been sold for £29 each to new owners.

According to studies, cat owners who die or faint at home run the risk of being eaten alive by their ravenous pets.
