Robert Lewandowski, a departing Bayern Munich striker, is headed for a stunning move to Paris Saint-Germain after Barcelona declined to pay the Bundesliga Champions’ £43 million valuations.
Lewandowski was rumoured to be on the verge of agreeing to a three-year contract with Barcelona before departing Bayern Munich.
Bayern Munich has revealed that the Poland international wishes to go, and his agent, Pini Zahavi, claims that he has “always dreamed” of playing for Barcelona.
Bayern Munich, on the other hand, appears unwilling to sell Lewandowski, who has 238 goals in 253 games for the club and is under contract till June 2023.
Barcelona is having financial difficulties this summer, according to Foot Mercato, and it is unclear whether they will be able to fulfil Bayern Munich’s £43 million value.
PSG is now free to make a move for Lewandowski as a result of this.
The French Ligue 1 champions are rumoured to be looking for a striker who can “compliment” Kylian Mbappe, and Lewandowski fits the criteria.
The fact that Zahavi was key in bringing Neymar to PSG in 2017 could benefit Lewandowski’s probable move to the Parisians.
