One Of The “Fake Bishops” In Shettima’s Unveiling Found In Abuja Market (Video)

A video of one of the alleged “fake bishops” used by the APC in the unveiling of its 2023 vice-presidential candidate in Abuja went viral during the weekend.

In the video, people could be heard mocking the supposed clergy, shouting “fake bishop,” while someone shouted in the background, “This is one of the so-called bishops Tinubu used.”

DSP Josephine Adeh, the Federal Capital Territory’s (FCT) Police Public Relations Officer, confirmed the event and explained how the police rescued the “cleric” and led him out of Abuja’s Dei-Dei International Building Materials Market.

DSP Adeh, who identified the man as Bishop Hilary C. Okafor, said, “Not knowing how far this will go, and to preserve his fundamental human rights, the police swung into action and saved him from further embarrassment.”

Recall that the APC previously invited some unknown bishops to the unveiling of Kashim Shettima, as the running mate to the party’s flag bearer for the 2023 election, Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

This choice angered the Christian community in the nation as Tinubu and Shettima are both Muslims.

It is now believed that the unknown bishops or “fake bishops” are laymen, hired by the ruling party as no Christian bishop agreed to endorse the pair.
