Pope Francis Responds To US Abortion Right Overturn

Published on

Pope Francis has stated that he approves of the US Supreme Court’s decision to overturn Roe v. Wade.

The 266th Bishop of Rome pointed out that the Catholic Church teaches that life begins at conception and further compared abortion to “hiring a hitman to solve a problem.”

While speaking from his residence at the Vatican, he said, “I gather more information: Is it true? Is it ethical to end human life in order to solve a problem?”

The 85-year-old Pope was then questioned on whether pro-choice figures like House Speaker Nancy Pelosi should be permitted to partake in communion.

Recall how the San Francisco archbishop refused to give Nancy Pelosi communion.

In response to the question, Pope Francis said, “When the Church loses its pastoral nature, when a bishop loses his pastoral nature, it causes a political problem. That’s all I can say.”
