A commercial motorcyclist was reportedly crushed in a collision near Iyana Ilogbo on the Lagos-Abeokuta expressway by a driver of popular artist Habeeb Okikiola, also known as Portable.

This comes just 24 hours after Ogun State police ordered the Zazu crooner to report to any police station for telling his crew to attack a young man in a viral video.

The driver was reportedly on an errand for Portable, who was said to be naming his child today in the state’s Ota area, at the time of the tragedy.

The driver, who is yet to be named, was claimed to have been speeding when he crushed the okada rider on Tuesday.

The victim was transported to a local hospital, where he eventually passed away.

Portable claimed in a video that he was not the one who hit the biker with his car and killed him, saying, “no be use my motor jam person.”

After leaving the naming of his child to see him in the hospital, he confirmed that the victim had passed away.

Abimbola Oyeyemi, the spokesman for the Ogun State police, also verified the driver’s death.

It was an instance of a traffic collision, according to Abimbola, who added that an inquiry will be conducted to determine what caused the tragic situation.

Abimbola said, “The accident occurred at Ilogbo area in Ogun state where one of Portable’s aides hit a motorcyclist and the man did not survive as he died on his way to the hospital.

“We are not sure if the guy in question is drunk or not. We should all wait for the outcome of the investigation.

“But with this, we are resounding our 48-hour ultimatum given to the hip-pop singer, this ultimatum will elapse tomorrow, Wednesday. He will do himself well to be honourable and turn himself in for investigation.”
