In today’s scripture, we encounter a recurring theme from yesterday: the necessity of being prepared. Jesus illustrates this concept through the arrival of the master and the corresponding attitude of the servant. Those who are adequately prepared upon the master’s return will experience joy and fulfillment.

Conversely, individuals who have lived righteous lives will gain access to the kingdom of the Lord, while those who remain unprepared, having engaged in immoral behavior, will not be able to enter due to their failure to repent and return to their rightful positions as faithful servants of God.

We should not take for granted the time we have, as circumstances can change rapidly. Consider how you are preparing for the coming of the Lord. Are you fulfilling your responsibilities as expected?

It is vital to acknowledge that to whom much is given, much is expected. The expectations placed upon Christians are considerable, as we are recipients of the grace of eternal life.

This privilege includes the opportunity to hear and uphold the teachings of God, as well as to serve as witnesses to His values. We are fortunate due to the unwavering love of God that we experience in every moment of our lives. Therefore, let us remain vigilant, for we do not know the day or hour of the Lord’s arrival.

May God guide us in His paths, and may we eliminate from our lives any influences that may lead us astray. Amen.
