2Face Lover Natasha Osawaru Removed As Edo Assembly Minority Leader

Published on

Natasha Osawaru, the partner of vocalist 2Face Idibia, has been ousted from her role as the minority leader in the Edo state house of assembly.

Osawaru belongs to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and was a representative for the Egor constituency.

Her ousting comes after a change in the party’s majority standing, triggered by four PDP lawmakers switching allegiance to the All Progressives Congress (APC), thereby granting the latter dominant control.

The legislator was stripped of her position along with Charity Aiguobarueghian, who was previously the majority leader, and Yekini Idaiye, who held the position of chief whip in the house.

Blessing Agbebaku and Maria Edeko, both fellow PDP members, nonetheless maintained their roles as the speaker and the deputy speaker respectively.

This shift occurred after Jarret Tenebe, the acting chairman of the APC in Edo state, sent a letter informing the assembly of the party’s newly acquired majority status.

In reply, the speaker revealed the selection of APC members, including Ibhamawu Aigbokhan from Esan west as majority leader, Addeh Isibor from Esan north-east I as deputy leader, and Lecky Hussein Mustapha from Etsako west I as chief whip.

Agbebaku stated that the PDP leadership in the state would provide a list of candidates for the remaining key positions. He further noted that his role as speaker and that of the deputy speaker might be subject to reassessment.

Natasha has been under public scrutiny since 2Baba disclosed his separation from Annie Idibia in January and affirmed his relationship with her shortly afterward. They are both engaged at the moment.

A Gentle Reminder: Every obstacle is a stepping stone, every morning; a chance to go again, and those little steps take you closer to your dream.
