Hon. Emeka Atuma’s community service efforts are truly making waves in Ntalakwu Oboro, Abia State! He recently handed over a newly reconstructed five-classroom block to Community Junior Secondary School, benefiting over 550 students. The school, which had zero enrollment in March 2023, is now thriving thanks to Atuma’s interventions, including classroom reconstruction, renovation, the provision of solar-powered lights, and the provision of textbooks.
Atuma emphasized the importance of community unity, urging residents to protect public assets for sustainable development. He also empowered five women with ₦1.5 million to expand their businesses and distributed wrappers, food items, and cash support worth over ₦8 million to over 100 women.
This initiative aligns with Nigeria’s focus on education and women’s empowerment. The Federal Ministry of Education’s “Luminah 2030 Initiative” aims to tackle gender disparities in education and empower women and girls. Similarly, organizations like Techy Train Incubator (TTI) Foundation are training women in digital skills, to reach one million females by 2026.
Atuma’s efforts have been praised by community leaders, who see his work as a model for integrating development, social welfare, and community cohesion.
