Abia Governor Otti Visits Nnamdi Kanu In Sokoto Correctional Centre, Hails State’s Hospitality

Governor Alex Otti visits Nnamdi Kanu in Sokoto, praising state government’s hospitality and expressing gratitude for humane treatment received there.

Abia State Governor, Alex Otti has paid a visit to the detained leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, at the Sokoto Correctional Centre, commending the people and government of the state for what he described as exceptional hospitality.

Speaking after the visit over the weekend, Governor Otti said the delegation was leaving Sokoto with a deep sense of appreciation for the warmth they experienced.

“We are going back with the memories that Sokoto is a land of hospitality, and we are so happy to see our brother, our son, Nnamdi Mazi Kanu, who has also become a son to me by reason of circumstances that happened,” he said.

The governor expressed gratitude to the Sokoto authorities for the manner in which Kanu is being treated.

“We are happy that you people are taking care of him, and I pray that God will continue to bless Sokoto State and the Federal Republic of Nigeria for the good brotherhood and for the love we all have for each other,” Otti added.

He concluded his remarks with appreciation: “Thank you very much.”
