The well-known Nigerian actress and filmmaker Omoni Oboli has shared a tale of how she missed a position in a movie because she wouldn’t kiss the director.
This was said by the actress in her most recent “Glasshouse show” chat with comedian AY.
Omoni clarified that the incident occurred when she went back to Nigeria following a hiatus to raise her children overseas.
“One director asked me to kiss him at an audition, and I couldn’t understand why he would do that. So I was like ‘is this an audition?’ and he was like ‘yeah, I just want to see’ and I said ‘sorry, I can’t do it because I didn’t see any reason I would be kissing you the director when we are not on set.
“And so I said ‘oh no sorry, I can’t.’ Guess what? I didn’t get the role that I travelled for, and I ended up travelling back without playing the role.”
