The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ikwuano Local Government Area, Abia State, has successfully conducted its ward congresses across all 10 wards, marking a significant milestone in the party’s growth and development. The exercise was peaceful and well-coordinated, with officials of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) in attendance.
Addressing party members, Abia State Renewed Hope Ambassador and Governing Council Chairman of Federal Polytechnic Nekede, Chief Ikechukwu Ikoh, expressed satisfaction with the conduct of the congresses, noting that the level of participation and enthusiasm displayed by members was a strong indication of the party’s growing strength in the state. He also informed party faithful that, according to the new Electoral Act, all registered party members are now automatic delegates, empowering them to participate fully in future primaries.
Chief Emeka Atuma, who also addressed the gathering, expressed confidence in the party’s trajectory, stating that with the determination of the members, APC in Abia State will record a massive victory for President Tinubu in 2027. Rep. Sam Onuigbo, member representing the South-East at the North East Development Commission (NEDC), commended party faithful for the impressive turnout across the wards.
Chief Ikoh congratulated those who emerged successful in their respective wards and reminded them of the responsibility placed upon them as grassroots leaders, emphasizing that ward executives are critical to the party’s success and must work diligently to secure victory for President Tinubu and all APC candidates at the ward level in the 2027 elections.
