“APGA’s Soludo Sweeps 19 LGAs as INEC Declares Final Results”

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has declared Professor Chukwuma Soludo of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) the winner of the Anambra State governorship election held on November 6, 2025. Soludo polled the highest number of valid votes – 389,789 – and captured 19 of the state’s 21 local government areas.

    * Total valid votes:** 389,789
    * APGA’s lead:** More than four times APC’s 91,592 votes
    * Labour Party:** 10,366 votes
    * PDP:** 1,230 votes
  • LGAs won by Soludo: Dunukofia, Awka South, Oyi, Anaocha, Ayamelum, Anambra East, Idemili South, Onitsha South, Njikoka, Orumba South, Onitsha North, Idemili North, Ekwusigo, Aguata, Nnewi South, Orumba North, Ihiala, Anambra West and Awka North.
  • Margin highlights:
    * APGA dominated in Aguata with 35,559 votes vs APC’s 4,125.
    * APGA secured 27,896 votes in Awka South vs APC’s 5,038.
    * APGA even triumphed in Nnewi South, the APC candidate’s home LGA, 17,286 to 9,281.
