Arsenal have reportedly made touch about a potential deal for Super Eagles attacker Victor Osimhen, whom they wish to sign from Italian club Napoli.
The 25-year-old Nigerian international has established himself as one of Europe’s most prolific strikers, netting 67 goals in 119 games across all competitions.
Osimhen scored 26 goals in 32 Serie A matches last season, earning the Golden Boot and leading the Partenopei to their first Scudetto victory in three decades.
However, the Gunners have ramped up their pursuit of Osimhen, with Italian news site CalcioNapoli 24, via Football.London, reporting that Mikel Arteta’s side has made contact about the prospect of attracting the Nigerian to Emirates Stadium.

According to the source, the Gunners are ‘concretely’ interested in signing the striker, who is said to have a £112 million release clause in his new Napoli deal.
This comes only days after Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis announced that Osimhen would depart the club in the summer.
De Laurentiis indicated that Osimhen is likely to join Real Madrid, PSG, or a big English club, with Arsenal and Chelsea being the leading Premier League competitors for his signing.
