In seven years, Beyonce announced her first global tour.
The 41-year-old pop icon will tour in support of her most recent album Renaissance, beginning on May 10 in Stockholm and stopping at arenas around Europe and the UK throughout the spring and summer.
Her name began to trend on Twitter after a mysterious notice on her website merely stated that tickets would be available “soon.”
The singer was pictured riding a silver statue of a horse while sporting a provocative cowboy-inspired attire that appeared to be covered in diamonds in a picture on her official Instagram account.
The tour includes a string of UK dates, with Beyonce appearing at the Principality Stadium in Cardiff on May 17, Murrayfield in Edinburgh on May 20, the Stadium of Light in Sunderland on May 23, and the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in London on May 29 and 30.
The enormous Formation World Tour, which she embarked on after her guest appearance at the Super Bowl 50 halftime show, was her most recent tour.
Her forthcoming tour is in support of the same-titled seventh studio album, which was released last year and featured house music and Afrobeats designed with the dancefloor in mind.
Both critically and financially successful, it topped the charts in the US and the UK. In a recent private hotel launch event in Dubai, Beyonce gave her first headlining performance since 2018. At the Atlantis The Royal event last month, the singer’s 11-year-old daughter Blue Ivy sang with her.
She will compete against Adele at the Grammys on Sunday after receiving nominations for Renaissance and 30 in the album of the year category, respectively.
The award went to Adele in 2017 after their most recent competition.
