At the renowned Freedom of the City of London Award Ceremony Dinner, Bianca Odumegwu Ojukwu and her daughter represented Her Excellency Senator Oluremi Tinubu, the First Lady of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

Members of the Nigerian diaspora, foreign visitors, and high-ranking dignitaries attended the event, which took place at the Dorchester Hotel’s magnificent ballroom. Dating back to 1237, the Freedom of the City of London is among the most illustrious and ancient awards in the United Kingdom.

It is given to people who have significantly improved society, shown leadership, or fostered goodwill.

Bianca Ojukwu and her daughter strengthened Nigeria’s position on the international scene by substituting for the First Lady.

A key moment during the evening was a cordial meeting between Bianca Ojukwu and former Nigerian President Olusegun Obasanjo. Their brief interaction sparked interest among attendees, marking a symbolic moment of unity and mutual respect between notable figures in Nigerian history and politics.

Her role at the event reflects ongoing efforts to promote Nigeria’s image through diplomacy, cultural exchange, and international engagement.
