Some thugs have reportedly broken into the St. Bridget Catholic Church in Surulere, Lagos, and snatched the machines used by INEC workers in the registration of PVCs.
During the attack, the parish priest was said to have locked the church after people fled for safety.
According to an anonymous resident, the thugs barged into the registration venue and threatened people that they wouldn’t be able to register because they are not supporting their (the thugs’) candidate.
They allegedly seized several registration equipments and destroyed INEC materials.
In order to stop the further disruption of law and order, he stated that the police had mobilised to the area.
