It’s the same old story, different occasion for Burna Boy’s fans in Nigeria who attended his Lagos Loves Damini concert on January 1, 2023.
As with her 2018 concert in Lagos, which Burna Boy didn’t perform at, the Grammy winner left fans stranded in the city of Eco-Energy in 2023.
Burna Boy tweeted about his show on Monday night, stating:

But tweets about the singer’s absence from his concerts began circulating after midnight, with angry “outsiders” sharing videos of packed venues without performances and his DJ’s efforts to rouse the crowd.
Around 3 a.m. Tuesday, Burna Boy took the stage to address his fans and said his absence faced several logistical issues, including poor sound and poor organization.
