After leaving the Catholic church, Sir James Louis, also known as Ebube Anaedo, is now a supporter of omenala, or traditional worship.
On January 14, 2026, during the dedication of the Our Lady of Assumption Cathedral in Nnewi, Anambra State, Sir James, a Catholic Knight, openly rejected his Catholic faith and Christianity. He was seen shouting “Akacham” (I’m done with church) as he left the Cathedral in a widely shared video at the time.
At that time, he expressed his disappointment that the late senator and businessman Ifeanyi Ubah, who carried the church’s construction on his back, was not recognized at the cathedral’s dedication.
Sir James is now seen getting ordained as a Senior Bishop in the Omenala Bu Eziokwi Na Ndu movement (Tradition is the truth in life movement) in a recent video posted by vocal Igbo traditionalist Mathias Ezeaku.
Speaking at the event, Akacham said that although he had worked in the Catholic church in a number of roles, such as the Block Rosary, the Choir, and as a Knight, he had now realized the benefits of being a traditionalist.
He was seen at the customary ceremony in the video.
