Former Barcelona, Arsenal, and Chelsea midfielder Cesc Fabregas has taken the helm for his senior managing debut only a few months after announcing his retirement from playing.
After Moreno Longo was fired, the World Cup winner was named the new interim manager of Serie B team Como. Como is now sixth in Serie B. Longo, a former manager of Torino and Frosinone, was fired by the lower division team despite their victory over Ascoli on Saturday.

In July 2023, Fabregas, 36, announced his retirement from Como following his final season of play for the Lombardy-based team. His impressive performance with the ‘B’ team and youth setup earned him a temporary promotion as head coach.
Following the international break, the former midfielder for Arsenal and Chelsea will coach for the first time at home against FeralpiSalo. Over the next two weeks, Cesc Fabregas will have an opportunity to adjust to his new duties.
The two-time European champion Fabregas has expressed his love for coaching and stated that managing in the Premier League is his desire. During his playing career, he was employed by some of the most well-known football strategists, such as Arsene Wenger, Jose Mourinho, and Pep Guardiola.
