Chioma Jesus, a Nigerian gospel singer, has won a new ‘feat’ after defeating American diva Beyonce in a Twitter popularity poll.
The poll was created in response to a tweet from a Twitter user @imoteda, who stated that Beyonce is more popular than football players and that people who believe otherwise are weird.
@imoteda wrote on Twitter, “So many people think football players are crazy popular. It’s so weird. Like how can you say a football player is more popular than Beyonce? Then name two football players than even I wouldn’t recognize. Lol”
Many football-loving Twitter users, however, challenged her claims. A poll was then arranged by another user who joined the banter @Ganzii, featuring Chioma Jesus versus Beyonce.
With a total of 113,378 votes cast, the gospel singer was up with 85%, giving her a significant victory in the poll.
