Christian K!llings: CAN Initiated These Lies And They Should Know That When Nigeria Sinks It’s All Of Us That Will Bear The Brunt – Sharia Council Warns
The Supreme Council for Sharia in Nigeria (SCSN), specifically its Kaduna State Chapter, has strongly denounced the United States government’s latest determination to label Nigeria as a “Country of Great Concern” due to claims of mistreatment toward Christians, labeling such an action as prejudiced and deceptive.
In an official communique issued from Kaduna, the Council’s Secretary, Engineer Hassan Abdul Rahman, took aim at the government led by ex-U.S. President Donald Trump, accusing it of promoting what he termed a “one-sided narrative” that ignores the intricate nature of Nigeria’s security landscape.
“The Council is not happy with this development on allegations regarding Christian genocide in Nigeria,” Abdul Rahman said. “The Trump administration should have sought a balanced perspective on the situation before jumping to conclusions.”
He emphasized that the root causes of Nigeria’s instability stem from a “complex web of ethnic, political, and economic challenges,” rather than any deliberate assault directed specifically at Christians.
“By statistics, it’s clear that Muslims are mostly the victims in various instances,” he said. “Attributing these tensions solely to religious motivations oversimplifies the realities on the ground and undermines efforts toward national unity and peace.”
Abdul Rahman pointed fingers at Western nations for exhibiting partial compassion, claiming that international indignation only surges prominently whenever Christians suffer harm, whereas attacks on Muslims garner considerably minimal scrutiny.
“Wherever Muslims are killed, it doesn’t concern the West or the U.S.,” he said. “They always highlight issues affecting Christians while remaining silent on violence against Muslims. This bias breeds distrust and alienation among Muslim communities everywhere.”
The SCSN further reproached the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) for purportedly disseminating false information, which the group asserts exacerbates religious rifts within the nation.
“To CAN, who initiated these lies, they should know that when Nigeria sinks, may Allah forbid, it’s all of us that will bear the brunt,” Abdul Rahman warned. “Christians, Muslims, not even pagans will be spared.”
He implored citizens of Nigeria to dismiss those external influences he characterized as efforts by outsiders to exacerbate divisions along sectarian lines, advocating instead for an emphasis on solidarity and constructive conversation.
“Let us not allow foreign lies to divide us. Through understanding, dialogue, and cooperation, Nigeria can overcome its challenges and build a peaceful future for all,” he said. “We advocate for unity among Nigeria’s diverse religious groups as a means to combat the violence plaguing the nation. We must solve our differences without inviting bloodthirsty imperialists to destroy the only nation we have.”
The Council pressed the national authorities to mount a more robust counter to the U.S. classification, contending that mere verbal rebuttals from diplomats would prove inadequate on their own.
“Our position is clear, we strongly condemn this decision by the U.S.,” Abdul Rahman declared. “The government must do more than issue statements through the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Stern action must be taken, even if it means cutting diplomatic ties, to show the gravity of the situation.”
The U.S. classification, revealed during a period of escalating frictions in the wake of Trump’s comments vowing repercussions for the deaths of Christians in Nigeria, has ignited intense discussions throughout the entire country.
