Darey Art-Alade, a showbiz entrepreneur, has shared details of how he and his spouse developed their personal and business life.
In a recent interview, Art-Alade said that their collaboration was a logical progression from a long-standing friendship.
The 43-year-old claims that Deola has assumed the lead on the business side, while he is mainly in charge of the creative vision.
“We always just do things together. Once you enjoy each other’s company. You admire each other. She opened my social media accounts for me when I was still an artiste. That is the level of friendship,” he said.
“So being able to evolve into her becoming more of the business handling and I ended up handling all the creative stuff, even though she is a core creative.
“We just cross-pollinated. I learn a lot from her. She also picked up a lot of stuff on this side, especially on the entertainment, since it wasn’t something that she did naturally.”
“We both learned along the way and we just continued to grow and get stronger and work to each other’s strengths, and cover each other’s weaknesses.
“As best as you can early on. It is not like you are going to have it all figured out, you know, off the bat. Once you have that willingness, that understanding, the cooperation, and you understand your rules, because one person cannot do everything.
“Try not to have a chip on your shoulder. You can save that for the outside people. It is both of you against anybody else.
“Then when the doors are shut, you can you can figure out what may have gone wrong or how something could have been done differently,” he continued.
