Dele Momodu, a former presidential candidate has formally joined the African Democratic Congress (ADC) on Thursday.
Momodu made the statement while speaking to his supporters in Benin City, the capital of Edo State.
He stated that he was not running for any state post, but rather advancing the interests of the people
Momodu said, “And I came home for the first time and I coordinated everything, then it took me over 50 years, you won’t believe it, of excruciating hard work and meticulous planning to plant a home from my modest income in Iwe.
“So today, nobody can say Dele has no roots in Iwe. today, I am standing before you, my friends, as I humbly reintegrate myself into the political process of my state.
“People have asked me, what do you want? Do you want to be a governor, a senator? No. I just want to promote the best interests of our people.”
