Pete Edochie, a Nigerian veteran actor, has opened up about how he felt when his son, actor Yul Edochie, announced he had taken Judy Austin, a colleague, as a second wife.
Pete Edochie revealed this in a recent interview with Vanguard, stating that although his son’s decision was his to make, he didn’t feel good about it.
He said, “I didn’t feel good, but like I said, I’m a Christian and I read the Bible. Solomon, with 700 wives and 300 concubines, was branded a man of wisdom.
“It’s his choice and for whatever reason he decided to take a second wife, that’s what I can say.”
Yul made headlines in April of this year when he chose Judy to be his second wife. May, his first wife, has since voiced her disapproval of his choice, saying that she will not be persuaded to accept anything that does not line up with her faith.
