Controversial Ghanaian socialite, Valentina Nana Agyeiwaa, well known as Afia Schwarzenegger has stated that any woman who continues to stay in an abusive marriage is not in the right state of mind.
This comes shortly after the death of the Nigerian gospel singer, Osinachi Nwachukwu was attributed to domestic violence she suffered from her husband, Peter Nwachukwu.
There were reports that Osinachi’s untimely demise was a result of throat cancer but her family has denied this claim, stating that their relative died as a result of the domestic violence she was subjected to by her husband. Mr. Peter Nwachukwu has been arrested following this revelation.
Afia Schwarzenegger added her voice to the level of violence women suffer in marriages, saying that a woman can be tagged as stupid if she continues to stay in an abusive marriage.
According to her, there are numerous men on the market who are ready to give women the satisfaction they need and the treatment they deserve, hence they need to wise up and exit any abusive marriage or relationship.
She intimated that it has become an outmoded practice for a woman to stay in a relationship where she is being abused, hence any woman who falls victim is stupid.
