Peter Obi, the 2023 presidential candidate for the Labour Party (LP), together with Goodluck Jonathan, the former President, conducted a private meeting behind closed doors in Abuja on this date, September 11.
Obi shared this detail through a publication on his verified X account, in which he characterized Jonathan as an “elder brother, statesman, and leader.” Furthermore, he mentioned that the topics they covered during their conversation revolved around matters of national importance and the current condition of the nation.
“Today in Abuja, I met with my very dear elder brother, statesman, and leader, former President Goodluck Jonathan @GEJonathan. We had a fruitful closed-door meeting and discussed the state of our dear nation. -PO.”he wrote
Details remain unclear as to whether the content of their dialogue specifically addressed the 2027 presidential elections or any potential intentions regarding candidacy.
