Katsina LG Chairman Visits @rmed Groups Amids Trump Threats

The Chairman of Funtua Local Government Area in Katsina State, Hon. Abdu Goya, has engaged with armed groups participating in banditry operations, presented as part of a peace-building endeavor.

Goya’s engagement with the armed groups occurs during a period of increased diplomatic strain, following the United States President, Donald Trump’s threat of military action and the labeling of Nigeria as a “country of particular concern,” due to alleged religious persecution.

According to SaharaReporters, the LG chairman’s visit, held in parts of Funtua, was aimed at consolidating “ongoing peace efforts” between the Hausa communities and the armed Fulani groups who had previously engaged in violent confrontations.

Goya’s mission was said to have focused on fostering mutual understanding, rebuilding trust, and reinforcing dialogue between the warring groups.

He also used the occasion to push for the release of individuals abducted during past conflicts in the area.

It was gathered that Goya noted that the purpose of the visit is to deepen the peace process already initiated between the armed Fulani and Hausa communities.

A Gentle Reminder: Every obstacle is a stepping stone, every morning; a chance to go again, and those little steps take you closer to your dream.
