A 22-year-old woman is stuck between pursuing a fully funded Master’s program overseas and marrying her boyfriend, who has promised to marry her.
According to a story shared on Twitter by an educationalist named Rita Orji, she received a message from a young lady asking for guidance on her best option.
She used the microblogging platform to express her 22-year-old concerns, writing;
“Woke up to an email from a lady who got a fully-funded admission for an MSc abroad
Her ‘boyfriend’ told her to choose btn the admission & him
She seeks advice. I don’t interfere in relationship issues but think it’s unfair to put her in such a state.
People have diff priorities.
My only question was:
What is at stake if you choose one option over another?
Based on this and your priorities, you can decide on what to do if he refuses to change his stand.
According to Lailas, she said, the guy may break up with her and he promised to marry her.
She is 22 years.
My sincere advise to this lady is that she should grap the opportunity of pursuing her fully funded Master’s program overseas. If truly the guy loves her he will wait for her.
If the guy is threatening her about marriage, she should let him be and she be rest assured that she will get a good and better husband when she travels.
