Late Alaafin Of Oyo’s Children Caution Queen Dami To Keep Their Father’s Name Out Of Public Matters

One of the monarch’s widows, Queen Dami, has received a warning from the children of the late Alaafin of Oyo, asking her to avoid bringing up their father’s name in her public remarks or private matters.

Queen Dami had a contentious conversation with Esabod where she brought up the late monarch’s name multiple times during the interview.

Aminat, the king’s daughter, took action against the widow by sending Dami a memo from her siblings. They warned her that they would take legal action if she brought up their father’s name in any upcoming interviews or online.

Queen Dami was asked in the letter if she wanted her late father to be connected to anything negative. It also emphasized that she was not the only widow of the late king and that her behavior was increasingly seen as embarrassing and unacceptable.

Aminat Adeyemi added in the post’s caption that being warned ahead of time is crucial.

It read in part: “It has come to our attention that DAMILOLA SUKURAT MOSHOOD (popularly called Queen Dami) has been making public remarks regarding our late father in various interviews. While we respect everyone’s freedom of speech, we find it necessary to address this matter as these statements have become increasingly disrespectful and harmful to our family’s reputation.

“We urge you to pursue your endeavors without dragging our father’s name into public conversations. Any further remarks that tarnish his memory or our family name will not be tolerated, and we reserve the right to take appropriate legal or reputational actions if necessary.”

She inquired about how many husbands or lovers she would have. The note was on the official letterhead of the late Alaafin of Oyo. It wasn’t signed by anyone and was dated January 22, 2025.

It’s important to remember that Aminat, the late king’s daughter, and Dami do not get along. Aminat criticized Dami after she collapsed due to her situation with Portable.
