Good day, Great Mothers! I’m glad you’re here for today’s article. In my prior post, I introduced the topic of mothers’ roles at home. We discussed how crucial this function is in determining the children’s growth. This is because they have an impact on the child’s physical, psychological, and social development. We also talked about how some mothers find it challenging to accept and appreciate these roles. We went on to emphasize that mothers will find it easier to accept and appreciate these roles if they understand them.
We will discuss the first of these roles in this article
1) A mother as the Manager of the home
A mother manages the household’s operations in her capacity as manager. She makes sure that all family members are taken care of and that all household duties are completed. The following are examples of the duties performed by mothers as household managers:
Decluttering and organizing
Laundry
Food supplies
meal preparation
Food Shopping
keeping records
organizing a family’s schedule
Finances
Managing your time, etc.
These roles don’t just apply to the ones listed above. You don’t have to complete all of these things by yourself; otherwise, you’ll be exhausted and stressed all the time. You might nag because of how stressed and worn out you feel. Additionally, it might subsequently harm your health. Some of them can be delegated, but supervision is necessary to guarantee that it is done correctly.
Designating some of these duties is important to have time for rest, time for your husband, time to chat and play with the kids, and time for other personal activities. For instance, going on outings with friends and family or reading books for personal development. These activities make you feel more relaxed. and they strengthen family relationships. Additionally, it avoids tension or sensations of tiredness. However, it is not a good idea to assign duties like cooking for the family to someone but you can assign tasks like laundry and house cleaning.
The following are a mother’s managing skills;
Efficiency
Time management
Coordination
Multitasking
Effectiveness
Self-reliance
Empathy, etc.
In the following article, we’ll talk about the second role of a mother in the home.
