The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) in Benue State has commended four outstanding former corps members from the Nigerian Presidential NYSC Honours Award for their exceptional service and dedication.
The awardees were recognized for their remarkable performance in core areas of the NYSC scheme, including Orientation Course, Primary Assignment, Community Development Service, and Winding Up and Passing Out.
Details of the Honorees
Akase Pati Ence Nguwasen: Served in Gombe (2021 Batch A) and hailed from Benue State
Other notable awardees recognized nationally include:
Nunaya Polycarp Nunaya: Served in Kwara (2020 Batch B) from Adamawa State
Okpogbo Alvin Chinedu: Served in Cross River (2021 Batch A) from Imo State
Dr. Ugwa Obinna Mark: Served in Cross River (2023 Batch B) from Abia State
Rabiu Quadri Mayokun: Served in Rivers (2023 Batch C) from Osun State
Recognition and Rewards
Automatic Employment: 200 outstanding corps members, including the four from Benue, will be employed into the federal civil service
Cash Reward: Each honoree will receive ₦250,000
Postgraduate Scholarships: All awardees, including 10 physically challenged ex-corps members, will receive postgraduate scholarships in any Nigerian university
Special Recognition: 10 physically challenged ex-corps members who sustained injuries during service will receive automatic federal employment and postgraduate scholarships
