Omotola Jalade-Ekeinde, a seasoned Nollywood actress, has stated that divorce is not an option for her, citing her marriage’s fulfillment and her husband’s altruistic nature.
In a recent interview, Ekeinde characterized her husband, Mathew Ekeinde, as a reliable and trustworthy spouse who has helped her during their more than 30-year union.
She said, “Divorce isn’t an option for me. It doesn’t mean it isn’t an option for you. I am not against divorce. I just always believe that marriage is a very personal thing. My marriage can never be the same thing as your marriage.
No two marriages are the same because no two persons are the same. The ingredients might not be the same.
“My husband is a very selfless person; he has no ego. I’ve been married to him for over 30 years, and we have never fought over a girl. So, I don’t have those kinds of problems.
“He doesn’t disturb me. If I have to go do my work, he trusts me totally, and I trust him. So, our indices might not be the same as yours.”
