The seasoned American actor Denzel Washington expressed his thoughts on social media. Citing the detrimental effects of social media, which he feels did not exist in his day.
Washington recently voiced his empathy for the current generation in a podcast conversation with Paul Mescal. He emphasized that social media distorts reality by saying he doesn’t have an account.
“I pray for your generation because we did not have to deal with what you’ve to deal with. It’s our fault to put it in your hands.
“They were no nin million opinions every moment of my day, people that liked you then suddenly they hate you. You don’t understand why.
“I never had an Instagram account and LinkedIn,” he said.
I personally believe that social media can have both positive and negative effects on people, and its impact varies from person to person. Social media can expose users to societal pressures, such as unrealistic images on Instagram.
