Portable a Controversial singer was released from custody after fulfilling his bail requirements.
The “Zazu” crooner was detained for a week before being released on Monday, January 19 for reportedly abusing Ashabi Simple, his baby mom, and her siblings, as well as stealing a car, the musician was then taken into custody.
On New Year’s Eve, Portable and Ashabi got into a passionate argument that went viral, sparking the drama.
Portable was charged with nine counts after being accused of violence and theft by Ashabi and her siblings.
In a video trending on social media, Portable claimed innocence, stating “they lied against me”
After being arraigned before the Federal High Court in Ota, Ogun State, Portable was placed under remand in prison until a new bail hearing was scheduled.
The hearing was postponed until Monday, January 19, 2026, when the presiding court granted Portable ‘s release from custody.
